Description
Hands-on construction manager acting as the client’s on-site representative on data-centre builds. Responsible for contractor oversight, safety leadership, quality control and commercial administration of construction contracts.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Act as Company’s site representative; manage general contractors across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical and commissioning disciplines.
- Enforce safety-first culture; identify and escalate observations and corrective actions.
- Administer construction contracts and commercial elements, including bids, change orders and claims.
- Inspect works, support commissioning, review submittals and ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Produce schedule, cost and budget reports; forecast and manage commercial risk.
- Support procurement reviews and contractor evaluations; lead resolution of claims and major variations.
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- 7+ years recent construction management on large MEP/MEP-heavy projects (data centres or industrial MEP plants).
- Experience with vendor and general contractor management; strong commercial acumen.
- Preferred: 10+ years site management, professional certification (CCM / AC / CPC) and degree in engineering or construction management.
- Ability to travel and work across EMEA.
