About the Company
Our client is a global hyperscale cloud operator delivering large data-centre campuses and mission-critical infrastructure. They specialise in on-site construction oversight, tight MEP coordination and accelerated commissioning for hyperscale builds. Operating across EMEA, they combine client-side delivery standards with rigorous safety and commercial governance.
Senior on-site lead accountable for end-to-end delivery of a fully integrated build for mission-critical projects (datacentres, life sciences, hyperscale). Reports to BU Management and Operations Director. Sets direction for safe, on-time, on-budget delivery and leads the core project management team.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Lead project team and client interface; chair weekly team/design/client meetings and follow up on actions.
- Implement and drive project audit plan; ensure closure of audit findings and continual improvement.
- Own EHS, quality and compliance on the project; attend and contribute to EHS/QA and shift planning meetings.
- Manage procurement planning, engineering development and subcontractor coordination to meet milestones.
- Track progress vs plan; produce weekly reports, lookaheads and planner updates; implement recovery strategies where needed.
- Control budgets and margins; lead regular commercial reviews and manage claims/variations.
- Mentor and train the project team; define training standards for staff and subcontractors.
- Maintain strong client relations and represent the company at client meetings.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree or recognized trade qualification.
- 10+ years’ experience managing large construction projects as a general contractor.
- Thorough knowledge of civil, structural and architectural packages.
- Proven ability to lead teams, set expectations and drive performance.
- Strong communication and IT literacy.
- Attention to detail and strong team-working skills.
